I am excited to be presenting a paper and chairing a panel at Console-ing Passions 2017 at East Carolina University. My paper Are You Watching for the Right Reasons?: ABC/ESPN’s The Bachelor Fantasy League examines the development of reality television fantasy leagues. The paper answers highlights industrial assumptions about gender, competition, and reality television viewership via ABC/ESPN’s creation of the Bachelor Fantasy League.
