Atlanta Media Project

Launched in 2012, the Atlanta Media Project at Georgia State University is a research collective concerned with studying the evolving media ecology of Atlanta, the Southern region, and beyond.  Founded by Ethan Tussey and Amelia Arsenault, our research agenda leverages the rich diversity of media activities currently taking place in and around Atlanta. Although we are located in Atlanta, our broader research agenda is national and global in scope. We have created an interactive map for those interested in seeing the breadth of media production in the region. We routinely produce analysis of recent industry trends and research. We are preparing a community project entitled Atlanta’s Mobile Music in collaboration with MARTA, MARTA Army, the Georgia State University School of Film, Media, and Theatre and the funding of CENCIA.
